What is The Quest?

What We Are

The Quest is a public benefit corporation (PBC) that creates transformative environments by merging art, entertainment, and self-discovery. We fuse cutting-edge storytelling with immersive technologies, interactive art installations and visitor participation to create a dynamic mixed-reality environment that expands one’s sense of self, builds community, and inspires people to create together.

We are dedicated to the comminities in which we operate, and we globally celebrate inclusivity, innovative ideas and self-expression. Contributors to The Quest's design, fabrication and curation will be recognized and honored, and each visitor will have the opportunity for a personalized, meaningful experience that goes far beyond entertainment.

Our Public Benefit Focus

Being a PBC requires us to prioritize social good alongside more traditional business goals, even if it means lower profits. Our public benefit focus includes:

  • Enriching the creative and hospitality sectors by creating sustainable income opportunities for artists
  • Prioritizing local vendor spending, and
  • Providing generative careers for area residents.

We are required to regularly report progress against our benefit statement to our shareholders. We chose this structure to formalize our commitment and to ensure that investors are aligned with what we believe is important.

What That Means

Our flagship location will be in the Asheville, NC area. We are committed to creating generative revenue opportunities and name recognition for our beloved artists, especially in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Our work predates the storm - so in addition to our original desire, we want them to have a reason to keep calling Asheville home.

Our community is equally important! Half of our annual revenue is planned to go directly into the local economy in the form of jobs, spending with local artists and vendors, community engagement, and other income-generating opportunities.
